Developing a new book or even a book series is a lengthy process. Of course, personal preference plays an important role in the choice of subject matter. Equally important is the availability of suitable photographic material of the subject. Once the subject is determined, coming up with a working title comes into the picture. Usually the working title stays and is used as the final book title. The next step is to develop a logo for the book. In almost all cases the logo will be the title bearer of the new book or series. Often the choice is made to design the cover first. It provides a form of hold for the book and gives an idea of the character of the new book.
